"Volume 3 of the Canadian Handbook on Health Impact Assessment addresses key concepts and issues that traditionally had not been adequately considered within the context of environmental assessment (EA) or environmental impact assessment (EIA) and health impact assessment (HIA) – for example, due consideration of stakeholder values, social impact assessment (SIA), economic evaluation of develop- ment projects, indigenous HIA, concepts and methods of environmental epidemiology, occupational health, and food issues."
